Discernment
As you, or your congregation, engage with your discernment process for our next Bishop, please review these suggestions by The Rev. Betsy McElroy, the Diocesan Chaplain supporting the Discernment and Election process. You are welcome to distribute it within your faith communities.

On August 23, The President of Standing Committee and the Secretary of Convention co-hosted an "Election Orientation" virtual session with delegates, alternates and clergy eligible to vote. After a presentation on discernment, attendees participated in a moderated discussion of the discernment process. Information was also provided on our Canons relevant to voting in a bishop election and an explanation of "Vote By Orders" was given, including a review of sample ballot results.
