The church of the supposed halcyon days of the past (which were not terribly halcyon) could easily be remembered as a clique where we joined together to eat a cracker on Sunday.  One of the exceedingly important results of the evolution and development of Order and Office of Deacon has been to identify and celebrate that the Church in the neighborhood is the Church of the mobile Jesus.  To learn more about the Sacred Order of Deacons, we invite you to review the Book of Common Prayer (beginning on page 537) and begin to discern if this is a ministry you are called to.
