The Convention is the annual meeting of the Diocese and all members of the Diocese are invited to share in the fellowship of this gathering and to learn more about our church. There will be something for everyone…worship, speakers, discussions, exhibits, and our annual business meeting. We invite all members of the Diocese of San Joaquin family – join us!

Delegates and Voting Clergy are reminded that pre-convention Deanery Day will be held Saturday, October 11 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. via Zoom.

Greetings Faithful of EDSJ and greetings to you as you prepare for our Diocesan Convention,
Convention will take place on Friday/Saturday, November 7/8 at ECCO.
The theme for this convention will be:
Called to be….. A Community on the ready.
And our corresponding scripture reference will be:
Matthew 24:44 - “So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”
In my greeting, I pointed to preparation as something which should occur as our convention draws ever closer. So may we prepare for what God is already doing out in front of us, awaiting our arrival. May we prepare for the next season of the life of EDSJ. May we prepare for what new things God will gift to this unique place called the Episcopal Diocese of San Joaquin.
Yes, Faithful, may we ready ourselves as we are Called to be…. A community on the ready.

Saludos, fieles de la Diócesis Episcopal de San Joaquin (EDSJ), y saludos para ustedes en su preparación para nuestra Convención Diocesana.
La Convención se llevará a cabo el viernes 7 y sábado 8 de noviembre en ECCO.
El tema de esta convención será: Llamados a ser… Una comunidad lista.
Y nuestra referencia bíblica correspondiente será:
Mateo 24:44: “Así también ustedes estén preparados, porque el Hijo del Hombre vendrá a la hora que no esperan”.
En mi saludo, mencioné la preparación como algo que debe ocurrir a medida que nuestra convención se acerca. Así que preparémonos para lo que Dios ya está haciendo frente a nosotros, esperando nuestra llegada. Preparémonos para la próxima etapa de la vida de la Diócesis (EDSJ). Preparémonos para las cosas nuevas que Dios regalará a este lugar único llamado la Diócesis Episcopal de San Joaquín.
Sí, fieles, preparémonos como estamos llamados a ser… Una comunidad lista.
Espero verlos a todos en la Convención Diocesana.
